Samsung and Sony have smartwatches on the market. Google and Apple are rumored to have their own models in the works. And a few smaller companies have raised a lot of money to launch their own smartwatches which can actually replace your phone in many ways.
But things are just getting started, and it’s likely we’ll see many more smartwatches in the next few years, at least until we can figure out if there’s an actual market for them, or if they’ll fade away like a fad.
Recently a company called ZGPAX has just released the ZGPax s5 Smart Watch with a 1.54 inch, 240 x 240 pixel LCD touchscreen display, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, and a 1 GHz MediaTek MT6577 ARM Cortex-A9 dual-core processor. It runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with access to the Google Play Store, you can download apps to the smartwatch(probably a bunch of Smart Watch optimized apps are going to be added to Play Store soon). It’s said to get about 36 hours of battery life or 6 hours of talk time if you use it as a phone. Boot time is pretty fast (just a few seconds), like the tablet the G-sensor makes it convenient to see from different angles.
One feature is the front-facing camera which can not only take photos but also video chatting with your lovers or friends. It also supports bluetooth, so you can use it as mp3 or mp4 with your bluetooth headset. After you open the back of it, you will see a Li-ion battery, the SIM card and the memory card which can extend to 32G, that’s enought for you to see videos or movies. Also, the language can be changed. So basically it’s pretty much a phone and a watch with camera.
