UMi Zero’s Thickness Leaked, 6.4mm Smartphone Is On The Way

UMi Zero’s Thickness Leaked, 6.4mm Smartphone Is On The Way

Following on from their self-proclaimed “Quad-core Killer” UMi have sent out details for their upcoming phone, the very attractive UMi Zero.

Smartphones are getting thinner and thinner nowadays. Many people argue that manufacturers should focus on providing better battery life instead of making

these devices extremely thin and I tend to agree with that. That, of course, doesn’t stop manufacturers from making only a few millimeters thick phones and

not worry that much about battery life, as long as it has a chance of lasting a full day of use.

Chinese manufacturer UMi has teased its UMi Zero smartphone in the past, UMi Zero aims to the the worlds thinnest dual sim phone, nothing concrete though.

Reports, on the other hand, have stated it will have extremely fast charging and great metallic build quality. We have yet another teaser for you, this time

how thin this device is. If you check out the leaked image below you’ll see this phone compared to the iPhone 6, Meizu MX4 and Xiaomi Mi4. These three

phones are 6.9, 8.9 and 8.9 millimeters thick, respectively. UMi’s upcoming Zero smartphone will be 6.4 millimeters thick it seems. All of these devices

have a metallic build quality, I guess that’s why UMi decided to compare their smartphone to these models. This device will feature Samsung’s 5.5-inch

Super AMOLED full HD 1080p (1920 x 1080) display once its launched along with Corning Gorilla Glass III on top of it. 3000mAh battery will also be a part of

the package.

What are your thoughts on this? We only know some details about the phone thus far, all of which I’ve listed in this article. We don’t know what will the

phone look like, though UMi did tease its look (image above). We’re seeing tons of Chinese smartphone as of late, some of them are extremely high-end and

very well build, like Meizu MX4 and Xiaomi Mi4 for example. Could this be a direct competitor to those devices? Everything UMi has listed thus far definitely

sounds promising, the question is how will the rest of its specifications, hardware and software look like. We don’t know when will it be launched, but I

guess that will happen soon. Either way, we’ll let you know as soon as we know more.
